There are 'pages' and 'groups' in facebook. There are some similarities and difference between these two. Facebook Group helps to connect with specific group of people. You can share photos, posts, events, documents or messages with other group members. The privacy option can be selected.
The picture below is the groups I am included. One of the group is the people whom I hang out with at school. I share pictures and songs with them, make plans to hang out, and chat with people so I can easily connect with these people.
Facebook 'Page' is more on categorizing one main theme rather than a specific set of people. Page is useful for businesses, organization and brands because they are able to advertise a specific theme to lots of people by making a page.
Above is a 'Twitter' page. People who are interested in Twitter can like this page, share the posts that was posted in Twitter page, and talk about it. Anyone can 'like' the twitters and join the twitter page. So I can be connected to thousands of people who are interested in twitter. In contrast, 'group' makes a specific set of people. Therefore, I can be connected to certain kind of people who is in this group.
